Tanzania Camping safari Africa holiday to Tarangire, Manyara, Serengeti & Ngorongoro
This morning, your safari guide will finalize the loading up of the camp supplies before meeting at the pick up point in Arusha. Later, we begin the Tanzania camping safari Africa, by departing aboard our Toyota Land cruiser to the Tarangire National park. We will have a picnic lunch in the park before embarking on a mid afternoon game viewing safari on the flood plains of the Tarangire River. The safari in this part of the park will feature Elephants, Olive Baboons and Cape Buffalo which are usually grazing in the Central Tarangire National Park. Later, we will set up camp and overnight at the Tarangire campsite.
Day 2: Morning and evening wildlife Safari at Tarangire national park
Breakfast early and have a morning safari of the Tarangire National park. The Tanzania holiday featuring a camping safari of the northern parts of the park, is centered close to the Tarangire Safari Lodge where you will possibly spot some Wild dogs and Banded mongoose. The mid morning game viewing continues along the park tracks with lovely sightings of Gerenuk which is rare in Tanzania;s National Parks, Lesser kudu, Bat eared fox and common genet.
Zorillas can also be encountered searching for small bugs on the ground, while the Striped and Spotted hyena will be seen at different locations scavenging closely next to the Lion and Cheetah families. The rare Leopard may be seen stalking its prey, which includes Bushbuck or the Olive baboons. While the Burchell’s zebra as well as the Blue Wildebeest is a common occurrence throughout the National park. Look out for the endangered rhinoceros, the Masai giraffe and the Lesser kudu. Plus some rare Fringe eared oryx, forward facing horn, Bohor and Mountain reebuck grazing together with the Coke’s hartbeest. You will be having lunch in the park, before dinner and overnight at your mobile camp at Tarangire.
Day 3: Tanzania Camping Safari Africa to Lake Manyara
Morning breakfast and transfer to the Lake Manyara park. We will enjoy some birdwatching on the Lake Manyara as we spot the lesser flamingos that welcome us on this mod morning tour. As the cook sets us the camp and goes about preparing the mouth watering meals on tour, we will be doing some animal watching of safari. Our holiday of Tanzania will introduce the manyara animals, among them; Black rhinoceros,which is seen in shades feeding on the low lying acacia shrubs,giraffe, the migrating wildebeest, leopard, which may be seen stalking Impala, Zebra and the Hippos that are common place at the edge of the Lake Manyara. Meals and overnight at your overnight camp. Optional upgrade to a standard Lodge at an extra top up.
Morning breakfast and take down our camp, before heading to the Serengeti. This park is referred to as,”sirenget” in the local language which means, the expansive plains. We will arrive for an en route wildlife viewing safari and then have lunch at our base. Later, the evening game drive will be determined by the migrations movement. Zebra, wildebeest and Topi are usually seen traveling together. while the gray water bucks are usually seen near the water sources in the park. See impala, gazelle and cape buffalo, as well as the warthogs and mongoose that like coming close to the campsite to pick up craps. Meals and overnight at the Serengeti Camp site.
Day 5& 6: Serengeti wildlife viewing
Morning and evening game drives in the Serengeti. The rest of the afternoon, would be spent in the cool comfort of your camp relaxing in the hot afternoon heat. Expect to see; warthog, African elephant, giraffe, Hippo and Nile crocodile close to the river banks. Also, ostrich, hyrax and the jackals. The baboons are usually active, usually feeding in groups by the safari game viewing tracks. In the evening, we head back to our base to exchange our safari experiences of the day, before dinner and overnight at the Serengeti Camp ground. Meals and overnight at the Camp.
Depart from the Serengeti after a short morning safari, then proceed to the Olduvai Gorge museum. Learn about the early excavations in the gorge where the the first humans lived, and also learned how to use tools. At the museum of olduvai gorge, you will learn about the discovery of Zinjanthropus, see fossils from stone age era and also see some excavated tools and early humans skull of australopithecus boisei. Later, you will proceed to Ngorongoro arriving in the early afternoon to set up camp before dinner and overnight. You could alternatively upgrade to Ngorongoro Sopa or Serena Lodge at an extra fee.

Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater tour
Breakfast at camp before starting the morning descent into the Ngorongoro Crater. The morning safari will start by boarding your 4×4 vehicles and heading into the crater bottom where the animals are mostly non migratory. You will be likely to see the following wildlife; wildebeest, Thomson’s gazelle, cape buffalo, eland, giraffe, hippopotamus, hyenas, lions, leopards, cheetah, elephant, black rhino and Hippos. Have your picnic lunched in the base of the crater and head back to the top of the Crater. Later, spend the second night at the top of the crater after dinner.
Leisurely breakfast and depart for Arusha to arrive in the mid afternoon. You could opt to have some last minute shopping at one of the curio shops before heading to the airport for the evening departure flight out of Kilimanjaro International Airport.
